Jamie and Rylee Tearin' It Up

Jamie's 4-wheeler finally came in after months of waiting. It's a 2008 CAN-AM DS 450. We are all excited to have a new toy for the family...(yes Jamie, it is for the whole family). Believe it or not, Rylee can't wait to go on rides with her dad. Every time she hears it, she immediately stops what she's doing, looks in the direction of the 4-wheeler, and says, "Dada"! It's so funny.

It plays Christmas carols and blows around snow with a touch of a button....what a hit!

Warming up to Santa...(but still not sure)

We has a great Christmas this year. It is so much fun watching the kids share gifts and seeing such innocents in their eyes. We celebrated with my parents, my sisters and their families, and my Papa Jaycox...even Santa was able to stop by for a few minutes. What a great night to be with family to celebrate Christ's birth!

1st Time Sledding

Since Rylee had mastered sledding around the house, we thought we'd see how she'd do on the real stuff. The snow had melted and then again froze, so it was nice and slippery for her first time out. She (and Jamie) had a ball!

Who Says You Need Snow To Go Sledding?!

We had our own family Christmas on the 22nd. Rylee made out like a bandit. Among the gifts from Mom and Dad was a blue sled from Santa. She opened it and climbed right in waiting for a ride. And of course, Daddy was ready to take her on one.

I Love My New Gloves!

Rylee loves her gloves...whether she is going outside or not...!

Caught Red Handed

Rylee loves grabbing the remote. She does pretty good when we are around, but you leave the room, come back, and almost always catch her red handed.

We Didn't Like Santa!!!

Well, last year Rylee slept through her 1st visit with Santa...This year she cried. I have never experienced a child clinging to my shoulder like a cat until that day. Maybe she'll decide to like him next year!

Grand Harbor Resort

We were able to take advantage of a great weekend at Grand Harbor Resort in Dubuque, IA. Despite the chilly water, we had a great time on our 1st family vacation. If you look closely in the 1st picture, you can see Rylee's arms high in the air!

Rylee's 1st Birthday

Well, on November 17th, we hit a major milestone...Rylee's 1st Birthday. I can't believe how fast the last year has gone. We have experienced everything from the arrival of our very precious gift to watching her grow and develop into a special little girl. She is learning so much every day, I can't believe that someone who is still so little could be so amazing and continue to teach us something every time we turn around.
